Here is what I love most. Each HANK replaces 1000’s of tissues and serviettes.
HANK is our reinvention of the classic handkerchief, often used as napkins, serviettes and bandanas. So soft you will want it near your face, and beautiful enough to pull it out in public. Each design carries meaning making them wonderful to give as a gift.
✔ 100% Soft Organic Cotton - nothing nasty near your face
✔ 14 Amazing Designer Prints - made to be noticed
✔ Incredibly Soft and Lightweight - kind on sensitive skin
✔ A Natural and Reusable Product - toxin free
This is sustainable living that doesn’t look boring. HANK is the eco-friendly alternative to all those single-use tissues and serviettes. They are the Swiss Army knife of everyday carry items. Historically people never left home without one or two and I can list 99 uses that aren’t your nose! Not just a nose-blower (although it does that brilliantly), a single square of fabric can do so much more.
Tissues are the fast fashion of face care and your nose deserves better. Most paper tissues contain bleach and chemical additives to improve strength, softness and absorbency. The more conditioning, the more ingredients that can irritate your skin.
Perfect for: hayfever season · glasses cleaner · gifting · weddings · neck cooler · drink coaster · emergency everything · make-up fixes… Easy to wash and reuse. See our top tips for more help.
“Beautiful designs, quality hanky. It’s a statement piece I always want to pull out of my pocket!”Danielle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
PACKAGING: HANK is presented in a recycled card envelope that fits inside a standard sized envelope & DHL satchel, for the most efficient gift giving.
SIZE: 43cm square with a rolled hem, making these a super versatile product with multiple uses.

Time to rethink the humble hanky
If you don’t already carry one, now’s the time to make it a habit. Our HANK handkerchiefs are absorbent, soft, easy to wash and fun to carry whether you're a sweaty mess, a snotty mess, or just stylishly prepared.

Sniff you later, tissues.
It takes years to make one tissue & just a few seconds to use it before it's thrown away. And, it's estimated you blow your nose 1233 times a year for an average adult. Scale that to a global population and the numbers are huge!!
"For most of human history we have carried around the multi-purpose cloth. Incredibly versatile for hay fever, sweat, dust, spills, shade, tears, takeaways, glasses cleaner, accessory or mini towel. With so many uses it's quite shocking that we have almost eradicated it from our everyday lives."
handkerchief n.
hæn kart/af-t/if (pl. handkerchiefs, handkerchieves)
1: a small square piece of cotton, linen, silk, or other finely woven material, used for personal purposes (such as blowing the nose) or as a clothing accessory.
A pocket-handkerchief, mouchoir, nose-wiper, a corah, a clout, a kerchief, maybe muckender, monteith, fogle, foulard, stook, or simply a hanky. Pronounced with a cheefor a chif. There are 99 uses for a HANK and a cold is only one.
The more we learn about what is in our cosmetics, cleaners, perfumes and air fresheners the more we seek out natural alternatives. Forever chemicals are being shown to accumulate in our bodies, and when you use these items against your most delicate skin you can absorb the most.
Cambridge and Duke Universities studied the effects of water, footprint, energy and waste. In every category they concluded a hanky the more sustainable option.
These cloths are a joy to use and admire - love the patterns and the usefulness
Fantastic dish cloths , they look lovely as many patterns to choose from and are extremely practical. They wash up really well so environmentally friendly. I will be ordering more!
I bought these initially because I loved the design and thought they’d look great in my kitchen. They do - but even better they work really well too. I use one for a couple of days then chuck it in the dishwasher and switch to a new one. They dry quickly and so far my first lot have lasted nine months and are still going. I like the idea of using them as weed mat in the garden when I’m done with them and letting them break down to compost too.
Lovely teatowels - I bought one at a market, and then bought two more a month or so later. They are well-made, soft and ACTUALLY DRY your dishes, as well as being pretty. I also like that they have a loop at one end for hanging them onto a hook.
Outstanding quality - these cloths last for years and may be composted once they wear out. I appreciate the speedy delivery too!
Exceptional quality rarely found these days in kitchen cloths. Makes a classy, as well as environmentally-mindful gift.. I paired this towel set with complimentary Swedish dishcloths and Emma's thoughtful gift-wrapping and was a real hit!
Great experience shopping with the Green Collective. I had not been organised enough to get my shopping done for Christmas but Emma was amazing and had everything packed and shipped for next day delivery! The towel is a little smaller than my other bath towels but very absorbent and the wedge pouch made a great gift for an avid swimmer. Spruce cloths were a fun addition to prezzies
This was a fantastic opportunity to purchase a range of goodies from green collective. I bought a range of spruce cloths, a towel and a "wedge" pouch. These were all dispatched extremely quickly (esp. for the time of year!) and are all great products.
So many designs to pick from. The issues was, which ones to keep and which ones to gift.
Love supporting an amazing NZ based business with an awesome mission
I have so many of these and love the joy of getting the next favourite design out of the kitchen drawer. Gifted a couple to a coworker as a small Christmas gift and was so cool to be able to choose designs to match her interests/personality.
Love our big bag and the wedge! Bought to carry around all my babies stuff, & the wedge has been perfect for keys, phone etc. thank you!
I was at an Expo in Christchurch recently and I saw this amazing soap dish in a real cool funky colour - yellow. Well I had to get it. It is made from recycled plastic and what I like about it is that it allows the soap to sit in a separate draining dish, so the soap isn’t swimming in water, but better still is that the draining dish pulls out and on it’s flip side is a grater so any soap remnants can be grated into warm water which makes laundry detergent - fantastic !!
Went to the Green Expo recently & purchased these awesome green cloths. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they performed, so well we went back the next day and purchased more. They wash up well in the dishwasher & after a soak hard stains seem to vanish. We have a stainless steel bench and it’s a breeze wiping it down (leaves no smears & drys quickly) - how exciting to find such a versatile dishcloth that isn’t too expensive considering what you pay for chuck away cloths/sponges at the supermarkets. Lovely ladies who were selling these Green Cloths & for a good affordable price. Beautiful designs and are the perfect size for my hands. I have kept two stored away for backups. They do good cleanups on most surfaces. Love Love Love my new dishcloths. Thanks Emma and team for a good product.
Love the back story to these towels (about using surplus yarn) and the bold colour palette that results. I’m usually a more minimal and neutral girl but I saw these colours and patterns and thought why not?! They make me feel happy and they’re a bit of fun.
27,000 trees are cut down daily for tissues.
Cotton is related to the Hibiscus plant. By-products are processed into edible oil and animal feed.
The transformation from tree to tissue is a chemically-intensive process that creates a number of pollutants including:
• Nitrogen oxides
• Sulfur compounds
• Chlorinated compounds
• Dioxins
• Heavy metals
Approximately 50% of the tissue market consists of facial tissue, napkin and paper towels, with the other half being toilet paper.
63% of Americans go through 2 or more tissue boxes per month. I know what I’d prefer to find in the washing machine.
